Former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali mad a bold prediction related to the future of Gary Kristen, Pakistan team’s Test coach.
Ali has a belief that Kristen might get fired from his position after the ICC Champions Trophy, set to be held in Pakistan gets concluded.
Even the fact that the tournament will be held in home soil, Ali thinks it to be a significant achievement for Pakistan team to even reach the top four. Pakistan team has been struggling with a steep downfall in Tests in recent years, as they have suffered heavy defeats across all formats.
Considering the team’s consistent downgrading performance, Ali’s prediction of Gary getting dismissed is more likely to come true.
“Congratulations to Gary Kirsten. He will be at the helm of the team till the Champions Trophy. However, he will be fired after the Champions Trophy. I am saying this now that it will be tata, bye bye for him. It will be a big achievement for Pakistan to make it to the top four. They have also stepped into the politics of Pakistani cricket. They won’t be successful,” Basit Ali said.
