On Wednesday, April 2, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officially announced the full schedule for the international home season of the India National Cricket Team for 2025.
India National Cricket Team are all set to lock horns with the West Indies National Cricket Team and South Africa National Cricket Team across formats in the 2025 home season.
India’s home season to start with West Indies series
The home season of the Men In Blue will start with a two-match Test series against the West Indies National Cricket Team. West Indies and the Men In Blue will lock horns with each other in the first Test match in Ahmedabad from October 2 while the second Test will commence on October 10 in Kolkata.
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce the schedule for Team India (Senior Men) international home season for 2025. The upcoming season promises thrilling encounters as India face off against West Indies and South Africa across Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is),” the BCCI said in an official media release.
After the red-ball games against the Men In Maroon, the home side will take on the South Africa National Cricket Team in two Test matches, three ODI matches, and five T20I matches.
The Test series opener between India and South Africa will be played in New Delhi from November 14. After that, the second Test will be played in Guwahati from November 22. Notably, it will be the first time that Guwahati will be hosting a Test match.
Following the conclusion of the Test series, the Men In Blue and the Proteas will switch focus towards the white-ball series, which will commence with three ODI matches on November 30, December 3, and December 6 in Ranchi, Raipur, and Vizag.
The T20I matches between the teams are all set to be played on December 9, 11, 14, 17, and 19 in Cuttack, New Chandigarh, Dharamsala, Lucknow, and Ahmedabad.
