BCCI announces India squad for the second Test against Bangladesh

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the second Test match against Bangladesh, which will be played in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1. The team will be led by captain Rohit Sharma.

The squad remains unchanged from the first Test, which India won convincingly by 280 runs at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

“The Men’s Selection Committee has retained the same squad for the second Test of the IDFC FIRST Bank Test series against Bangladesh. The second Test will be played in Kanpur from 27th September,” stated BCCI in their official media release.

The 16-member squad for announced minutes after India’s resounding victory in the first Test. The team will look to continue their dominant performance in the second match and seal the series.

Ravichandran Ashwin’s 6-fer guides India to victory in Chennai Test

Ravichandran Ashwin’s exceptional performance, a six-wicket haul, was pivotal in guiding India to a commanding victory over Bangladesh in the first Test.

The match concluded on the fourth day, with Bangladesh resuming their innings at 158 for 4 but ultimately being bowled out for 234. Ashwin’s six-fer, coupled with 3 wickets from Ravindra Jadeja, ensured that India took a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
