BCCI changed IPL 2025 auction time to avoid overlapping IND v AUS Test

The much-awaited IPL 2025 mega auction is right around the corner, and is set to take place on November 24 and 25 in Jeddah Saudi Arabia. This auction will turn our to be a thrilling event as several star players would be available for bidding.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently been reported to change the time of the mega auctions, in order to avoid overlapping the auctions and the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy Test. This change is going to welcome the global audience and ensure maximum viewership for the event.

As of no, the current schedule of the IPL 2025 mega auction is clashing with the first Test between India and Australia. This Test match is going to be held from November 22 to November 26, whereas the two day auction was initially scheduled to be held on November 24 and 25.

To make up for the playing time of the test in Perth, which normally finishes at 3:20 PM IST, the BCCI decided to delay the start of the IPL auctions from 3 PM IST to 3:30 PM IST. This adjustment was made in order to make sure that Indian as well as Global fans and supporters will be able to enjoy both the events without having any conflicts of switching between the two.
