BCCI to Start T20 League after World Championship of Legends

The BCCI may begin an league like IPL with retired cricketers. Currently, a lot of legendary India cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, and Yusuf Pathan will play in numerous Legends League along with various senior players from across other countries. All of them will have private associations with the help from cricket sheets.

As of recently, World Championship of Legends (WCL) was organized in England, along with the assistance of the ECB, and it turned out to be a huge hit. In Birmingham, India took on Pakistan, which saw a massive hit which people were highly thrilled to see.

According to a report, a few former players have asked the BCCI secretary Jay Shah to begin India’s own Legends League. The cricketers have requested the league to be like the IPL. This will also be a model based on franchise where groups will bid the players in auctions.

The BCCI has, as an answer, responded in a positive manner and told the cricketers to give a good thought and check all possible chances. A BCCI source confirmed the former cricketer’s request to the BCCI. When asked as to if the competition could be played in current year, the source said that the talks for the decision are in beginning phase and won’t be possible to sort out an association this year. Other than that, he was hopeful that the association could be played on one year from now.
