Beaten Derek Chisora recognises ‘it’s over’

Chisora fought for what he says will be the final time at the O2 Arena, where he had built a significant following, in his home city. He fought the former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in his swansong, but came up short. Wilder, 45-4-1 (43 KOs), was once one of the most feared punchers of all, but despite having Chisora down on multiple occasions he couldn’t stop the 42 year old. Wilder earned a split-decision victory over Chisora after 12 rounds.
