With WWE Elimination Chamber set for February 28 in Chicago, Lynch hit social media on February 22 and unloaded on AJ Lee in a post that instantly turned the feud from heated… to vicious. Lynch didn’t hold back.
“I can’t wait to HUMILIATE AJ Lee in front of her family and friends next SATURDAY!!! She will be SO EMBARRASSED that she will retire from wrestling FOR GOOD! To be honest, nobody wanted her back anyway, that’s why she is an ABSOLUTE JOKE! Little does SHE know, CHICAGO LOVES ME!!! I will probably get the MOST cheers and love from the crowd at the United Center, way more than that PUNY PHIL!!! Chicago is and always will be a BIG BECKY BELIEVER TOWN!”
That’s not competitive hype. That’s a declaration of war. Lynch, who is set to defend the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Elimination Chamber, went straight for the jugular — claiming AJ Lee’s return wasn’t wanted and even suggesting she’ll retire Lee permanently in her hometown.
The line about Chicago loving her “way more than that puny Phil” is already raising eyebrows, given AJ Lee’s real-life ties to the city and the obvious reference to CM Punk. The timing couldn’t be louder. This tweet dropped just days before the Chicago event, amplifying what was already an emotionally charged rivalry on Raw. Over the past several weeks, Lynch has shown a more erratic, volatile edge, particularly whenever AJ gains momentum.
Now she’s promising humiliation in front of AJ’s family and friends. Chicago is about to become ground zero for one of the most personal women’s feuds WWE has staged in years.
