Ben Shelton’s girlfriend, professional soccer player Trinity Rodman, recently reacted to his new haircut. The couple made their relationship public earlier this year, in March 2025. Rodman plays as a forward for the United States national team and the Washington Spirit in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).

Shelton concluded his 2025 season after competing at the ATP Finals. He had a disappointing performance in Turin, losing to Alexander Zverev, Félix Auger-Aliassime, and eventual champion Jannik Sinner in the group stage matches. This meant he did not advance in the tournament, which brought his season to an end.
Following the conclusion of his tennis season, Shelton took some time away from the sport to relax. He spent time with Rodman, attended her matches, and enjoyed moments with his family. He later returned to the court to participate in an exhibition event, the Atlanta Cup, alongside Naomi Osaka, Aryna Sabalenka, and Nick Kyrgios.
Recently, Rodman shared a video of Shelton showing off his new haircut, featuring faded sides. In the video, the soccer star can be heard laughing and playfully touching his head to check out his new hairstyle.

Earlier this year, after Rodman debuted a new look with braided blonde hair, Shelton took to social media to express his admiration for her hairstyle.
Shelton Makes His Feelings Known on Dating a Fellow Athlete
Shelton recently launched his YouTube channel, where he shared a vlog titled “The Long Game.” In the video, he humorously mentioned that having a partner who understands sports can be challenging. He explained that whenever he feels down about a poor performance in a match, she provides him with a much-needed reality check.
“It’s always cool to be able to play with her there, play in front of her, and kind of spend time with her during the tournament. She be giving me a hard time though. If I have a tough day or mentally I’m not there, she’s like, “What the h*ll you doing?” It’s tough dating someone who actually knows sports. She be like, “You played terrible,”” Shelton said.
On the tennis side of things, this season Shelton won only one title: the 2025 Canadian Open. He finished as the runner-up at the BMW Open and had semifinal runs at the Australian Open, BOSS Open, and Citi DC Open.
Looking ahead, Shelton will kick off his 2026 season by competing in the ASB Classic, which is scheduled to take place from January 12 to January 17, 2026, in Auckland, New Zealand. His best result at the tournament came in 2024, when he reached the semifinals before losing to Taro Daniel.
