Nehal Wadhera hung onto an excellent grab to get rid of Rohit Sharma during Match 69 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League between Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Rohit had to walk back after scoring 24 off 21 deliveries.
Rohit backed away while giving himself room to go down the ground. Instead, the ball ended up getting hit off the bottom end of his blade to travel towards the direction of long-on. The former MI player ran in from the fence to take an excellent diving catch while bending forward. Rohit was MI’s second wicket to fall.

Earlier in the evening, the Shreyas Iyer-led PBKS won the toss and elected to field first. Kyle Jamieson and Vijaykumar Vyshak made their way into the XI. As for MI, they made only one change. Left-arm seamer Ashwani Kumar made his way back into the squad.
The winner of this particular fixture has an opportunity to secure a top-two spot and play Qualifier 1. Ahead of the game, PBKS and MI were placed second and fourth, respectively. Only one point separates the two teams, with the fourth-placed MI possessing a better net run rate (+1.292) as compared to PBKS (+0.327).
