WWE has announced that NXT Champion Joe Hendry and NXT North American Champion Myles Borne will team up to face “Absolute” Ricky Saints and “All Ego” Ethan Page in tag team action on tonight’s post-NXT Vengeance Day episode.
This match follows Hendry’s victory over Saints in the main event at NXT Vengeance Day, where he successfully retained his championship. During that bout, Page attempted to interfere by introducing the NXT Championship as a weapon. However, he accidentally slid the belt to Hendry instead of Saints. While the official was distracted, Hendry seized the opportunity to deliver a low blow as retaliation for an earlier low blow from Saints. He then executed the Standing Ovation to secure the win and retain his championship.
Tonight’s WWE NXT takes place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, and will air live on The CW in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.
