And that’s us finished for another day of the Black Friday sales, we hope you have found the coverage useful and the deals exciting!
We aren’t done yet though, not by a long shot. We will be back tomorrow morning with more of the same.
Personally, I’ll be hitting the trails for an hours rip on the gravel bike, before I log on to bring you the best deals. 👍
Here’s our final deal of the day on one of the more competitive helmets we have tested in the wind tunnel, the Laxer Vento Kineticore.
The biggest discount is 61% for the ‘black yellow flash’ colour.
We will also be posting a deals round up of the fatest equipment we have tested this year tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled.
Josh has just found some great deals on a few of the gloves from our best winter cycling gloves buying guide at Amazon and Sigma Sports..
And now one for our UK readers:
Here’s another quick look at a tasty deal on the Trek RSL Knit road shoes for our UK readers.
CN Tech Editor Josh uses these shoes, as can be seen in our CN Labs aero kit test.
HUGE GARMIN DEAL JUST UNEARTHED
On trawling deals for my other live hub, Black Friday Garmin Deals Live, I stumbled upon a staggering $500 off the beautiful Garmin Quantix 7X Solar. It is nominally a marine watch, but even if you live miles from the sea it has all the functionalities of Garmin’s other top end watches, and is now cheaper than the Fenix 8, which itself is at a lowest ever price right now, despite originally being a more expensive option.
Yesterday we highlighted a couple of solid deals on the popular, and very capable Garmin Forerunner 165.
We’ve checked and those deals are the same today if you are interested, this is an indication we can maybe expect them to stick around until Cyber Monday now.
We shared a nice deal on the Hammerhead Karoo last night, Tech Writer Tom’s favourite model.
There seems to be one unit now left on the SRAM Amazon US store, and it’s decreased in price slightly compared to last night, now down to $408.78.
We thought it would also be useful to clarify exactly when the Black Friday sales and Amazon specific sales end. It can get confusing at times, and people often ask the question.
Black Friday itself was yesterday (the 28th) so the big day itself is behind us now.
However, pretty much every sale event on the internet will run all weekend, culminating with Cyber Monday on the 1st, where we may well see some extra reductions.
The Amazon Cyber Monday event on Amazon has actually already started, but the day itself is on Monday.
Don’t worry, there’s no need to rush, the sales will be on all weekend, and we will bring you the best of them.
Sigma has a brilliant deal on for the rest of the day on the S-Works Prevail 3 helmet.
It’s usually £250, and at full price we still rate it as one of the best vented helmets on the market. With 52% off though it’s a slam dunk, considering Josh gave it 94% in his review.
Do me a favour a second and go and get your bike shoes…. got em? Turn them over and check the cleats. I bet you they’re in need of replacing, right? It’s a job we all put off for far too long because, let’s face it, it ain’t a sexy buy, but leaving them until they’re too far gone can have knock on implications for bike fit and can result in an increased injury risk.
Sigma has a load of cleats on sale, but the one you want if you’re a Shimano user is the yellow 6º float option (float is how much the shoe can rotate freely in the pedal). The blue 2º option is even cheaper, but personally I think unless you have an absolute spot on bike fit then going to the even cheaper 2º (or even the red zero-degree option) is a potential recipe for disaster for your knees. Play it safe and front up the extra £1.90.
Oakley tends to make models that either stick around for years and years (Radars, Encoders, Sutros), or exist as a flash in the pan that are only around for a few seasons before being outdated (think the first Kato model).
My colleague, Tom, still uses inner tubes on his road bike. While I am a tubeless evangelist for all cycling, I do appreciate that there are probably still many of you that don’t use goo in your tyres, and if that’s you then I’ve got a great tyre deal for you…
Good morning, deal hunters! I’m back, fuelled by instant coffee, and ready to bring you all the best finds as I find them.
The story of the night is that the really great standalone deal on the old Garmin 1040 bike computer has been axed in the US from over 30% off to 8% off. It’s still OK, as deals go, but the better buy is to opt for the Garmin 1040 and Varia RTL515 bundle.
Well, that’s it for Black Friday folks. We are signing off now to go and unwind.
See you bright and early in the morning. 👍
Here’s our third and final Castelli deal, 25% off the women’s Espresso 2 gloves, which launched recently using the new Polartec AirCore fabric.
I have a pair, and they are incredible. The fit, comfort and snugness are very nice. A great winter all-rounder, and also great off the bike.
Here’s another nice deal from Castelli, this time the brand’s warmest winter socks, the Venti sock. The Venti is Castelli’s thickest and warmest winter sock and uses a Merino wool blend.
I wore them for three hours last week in the rain and cold, and they are very nice. They are also nice to wear off the bike in winter, here with 25% off.
We have also been snooping in the Castelli Amazon US webstore, where there is a range of deals to be had on quality Castelli kit. Here’s a pair of Castelli gloves I myself wore today on my pre-work ride at 35% off.
This is about as cheap as they are online elsewhere, but every size is in stock and discounted here. An excellent addition to the kit bag.
Meanwhile Tom joins me on dealswatch, and he’s currently writing up a spotlight on the following Hammerhead Karoo 3 deal!
Hello all. Josh back again. Will’s finished for the evening so has gone to ride a bike in the dark (with his Cateye AMPP900 light, no doubt), so I’ll see you through the evening.
We’ve just had a good ol’ hunt through Dick’s Sporting goods for all the decent cycling deals and there’s quite a few worth looking at. If you want my pick, it’s the Cannondale Topstone 3 for only $1,400.
About 15 years ago now I bought a Lezyne Pressure Drive mini pump. It went with me for years in my back pocket on every single ride until I eventually corroded through the hose with my sweat. It was so good I have just started a new one, which will probably last me another 15 years.
Speaking of sunglasses, Sungod is running a ‘free pair with every pair‘ promotion, which includes Geraint Thomas’ signature GT model, and Ineos edition Airas models.
It may not feel like it at the moment, but it it’ll be sunny and warm again soon. I’ve found one of my all-time favourite pairs of cycling glasses with a really tidy discount in the USA.
A real staple of any sale event (in the UK at least) are CatEye’s Orb bar end lights. While I wouldn’t recommend using them as your only rear lights, they work great as an auxiliary set, and as they replace your bar end plugs they make you look a lot wider to cars approaching from behind. I’ve got two sets, and my colleague, Tom, has the same.
Right, I stepped away to have some lunch (forgive me, please)… and I’ve just checked all the prices in our guide to all the best Black Friday cycling shoe deals. There’s a load in there, but given it’s cold and wet the ones I want to highlight are the winter boots. Quick fire, here we go…
USA
UK
I’m currently eyeing up some Blink Outdoor cameras from Amazon.
Hey all. A brief JC takeover while Will goes to grab some lunch.
The problem is, when a bike has a closed dropout, it makes mounting it into the tunnel a lot more time consuming. At over £500 an hour, we try to avoid this as much as possible!
I hate running, but this is a really great running watch find… the more premium Garmin Forerunner 165 is now cheaper than a full price basic Forerunner 55.
❄️ It’s winter jacket deal time, folks ❄️
I know many of you probably hate riding in winter but my hot take (or not so hot) is that I’d take a crisp winter ride over a stupid hot one in midsummer. Part of this is due to the fact I have good gear, and our top rated winter cycling jacket is discounted for a short time in the UK and an unknown time in the US.
My favourite lightweight waterproof jacket is on sale 🌧️ 🌧️ 🌧️
Favero has dropped the price of its power meter pedals on its own site.
Favero power meter pedals have been well-reviewed here at Cyclingnews, but they aren’t a product that goes on sale often. If you have been after a pair the best bet is to head to the Favero homepage, where you can get some savings on key models.
A quick trawl of Amazon while my coffee cools down reveals… well, a load of deals (obviously) but most pertinently a CatEye light I use several times a week at least – the AMPP900
Let’s kick off with a really solid helmet deal on the timeless Poc Omne Air MIPS, which has 50% off right now
Good morning, deals hunters!
Will here, Cyclingnews‘ Senior Tech Writer and deals trawler for the weekend. I’m firing up the live blog for the big day so stay tuned for the best deals as soon as I find them…
For now though I’m going to go and make another coffee before the hunt begins ☕️
Ok, it’s well into the evening now here in the UK, and tomorrow is Black Friday!
We are heading off and shutting down the live blog now. However, we will be back in force tomorrow morning to bring you all of the best cycling deals as wel find them.
See you in the morning! 👋
The Wahoo sale has 🚨 JUST GONE LIVE 🚨
Our friends over at Silca have some decent discounts on at the moment too…
A deal that’s just cropped up that I can’t not share..
A few more cycling-specific ones to keep the ball rolling:
- Core Body Temp: Heat training experts and sensor maker Core has 50% off its original sensor, and a lesser (but still decent) discount of 20% off the newer sensor.
- HUUB Design: There’s up to 75% off at the aero experts and triathlon kit specialists.
- Half-price on a lifelong coach: Coaching app FasCat, which uses expert, human-created training plans paired with an AI chatbot to provide personalised insights. A lifetime fee is typically $900, but that’s down to $450 this week only
- Bont Shoes: Up to 60% off pro-level cycling shoes
We’ve also been made aware of some cool less-mainstream deals. I’ll work through those now.
Our systems tell us there’s an outsized interest in cycling apparel today, so I’ll steer us there now…
- Rapha: There’s 25% off SITEWIDE over at the British brand’s website, while our roundup of the best from the Rapha Black Friday sale highlights our favourite items that you should definitely consider.
- Le Col: There’s an impressive sale on right now with plenty of items around 40-50% off, plus there’s an EXTRA 20% off over Black Friday weekend, bringing some premium items down to seriously budget-friendly prices. Our Le Col Black Friday roundup built a full winter cycling outfit and saved $463 in the process!
- Capo: A slightly lesser-known brand out of the USA, Capo is growing fast thanks to its broad range of kit. Its aero socks won our recent wind tunnel shootout, and there’s 40% off pretty much everything on site.
- Velocio: A mixed bag of discounts depending on what you’re buying, but with an EXTRA 20% off sale items, as well as another 10% off orders over $500!
- Castelli: Simple but significant – 25% off sitewide! Our roundup of Castelli Black Friday deals highlights our top picks from around the internet.
- Endura: Up to 50% off across the site, in both the USA and the UK
- MAAP: Another site with up to 50% off
To kick us off, here’s a deal that’s just gone live and worth shouting about… Garmin’s Fenix 8 AMOLED.
Not the biggest discount on a watch we’vec seen this weekend – check out our Garmin Black Friday live blog for a few examples of bigger – but at 25% off, it’s the best price we’ve seen and a surprise find given how new that watch is.
Hello and welcome to the dealsmachine. Cyclingnews’ evergrowing list of Black Friday bike deals from the 2025 Black Friday / Cyber Week / Black November / whatever-we’re-calling-it sale!
