The Do Something Golf Club in Lexington is bringing golf into the schools and communities that otherwise might not otherwise have any exposure to the game we love. Its founder and driving force, Shed Lacefield, shares the journey of his brainchild program that began as a few kids learning to swing a golf club after school at a single elementary school and has expanded to multiple schools with a STEM-focused curriculum and a bevy of partners throughout the community. It’s story worth knowing and a group worth rooting for because they’re actually growing the game in a meaningful way.
