The 28-year-old former Houston Astros outfielder has demonstrated solid bat speed of 75.9 mph, ranking in the 93rd percentile.
He’s provided impact with good plate discipline, generating good contact with a .375 batting average, a home run and an OPS of .500. The home run Sanchez hit on March 29 was a bomb that went 417 feet deep against the Athletics.
What’s contributed to Jesus Sanchez’s success?
Sanchez’s refined approach at the plate has showcased better swing decisions. He has focused on pitch selection, with a reduced swing rate, and has avoided swinging at pitches outside the strike zone. This has been evident, specifically with two strikes.
