The news emerged through a post from Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman’s wife, Taylor, who shared a celebratory message on Instagram that read “Loved celebrating mr. and mrs. bichette!!!” (sic)

She added a couple of pictures from the night alongside her husband, one of Toronto’s many playoff heroes from the team’s run to within two outs of a World Series championship.

Emily Little, the wife for Blue Jays reliever Brendon Little, also posted from the event, which according to a menu took place at the Urban Stillhouse in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The venue was decked out with gorgeous arrangements of white flowers and had a beautiful candlelit vibe.

Little and other WAGs shared several snaps and clips from a photobooth session, with all the women seeming to have a great time.

While it’s unclear exactly how many members of the Jays’ 2025 team was able to attend the wedding, several have been spotted in photos online, including Ernie Clement, Chris Bassitt, Shane Bieber, Addison Barger, Jeff Hoffman, Max Scherzer, Gausman and Little.

It’s unclear if Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Jays star slugger and close friend of Bichette, was able to attend the nuptials. Vladdy shared on his Instagram Story that he was attending a baseball event hosted by Seattle Mariners star Julio Rodriguez that took place on Monday afternoon and was not seen in any of his teammate’s photos from Florida.

Who is Bichette’s wife?

Bichette and his newlywed wife are extremely private people, with neither having a public presence on social media.

The Toronto Star reported in July that Bichette had popped the question to Alexis Angerman in May, with the wedding slated for January 2026.

Other than that, not much is known about Alexis, with very few, if any, confirmed photos of her appearing online.

A photo posted by Taylor Gausman appears to showing the bride wearing white in a photobooth setting with several other WAGs.

The Bichettes appear to have been registered on Zola with their wedding date on the site set for Sunday, Jan. 4. That would line up with the deluge of Instagram posts from his Blue Jays brethren and their partners.

What’s next for Bichette?

With his wedding out of the way, Bichette now has some pressing baseball business at hand. He remains one of the best free agents on the market and reportedly has received major interest from the Jays, New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers. He also may remain on the radar of the Boston Red Sox, who recently made an aggressive pitch to free-agent third baseman Alex Bregman.

Toronto’s signing of Japanese star Kazuma Okamoto – who will be unveiled at a Tuesday afternoon news conference – doesn’t rule out the Blue Jays bringing back Bichette or splashing cash for star slugger Kyle Tucker.
