Booker T is pleased to see Randy Orton back in the WrestleMania main event scene, and believes WWE needs to make the most of the Viper.
Orton earned his main event spot by winning the 2026 Men’s Elimination Chamber match and will face WWE Champion Cody Rhodes this April.
On a recent edition of his “Hall of Fame” podcast, Booker spoke about Orton’s journey, and believes WWE needs to make the most of the veteran. He said,
“I think it’s good for Randy to be in that picture just because Randy’s not going to be able to be in that picture for many more years.
“And me as promoter, I definitely got to take notice of that, and I got to be able to use this thing properly as far as how much time do I really have with Randy Orton? So, I got to really be able to manage that thing properly.”
Orton was missing from WWE programming for a year and a half due to a serious back injury that, for a while, threatened to be career-ending.
Despite this setback, Orton has said that his back fusion procedure has given him a new lease on life, and that he has no plans to retire anytime soon.
WrestleMania 42 will mark Orton’s third WrestleMania main event. He is currently 0-2 in WrestleMania main events, with losses to Triple H and Daniel Bryan.
