Bosch and Litchfield Make Significant Strides in ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings






Anneke Bosch of South Africa and Australia’s Phoebe Litchfield have made impressive advancements in the latest ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings as they prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled from 3-20 October in the United Arab Emirates.

Bosch’s scores of 24 and 46 in South Africa’s T20I series win against Pakistan in Multan have lifted her three spots to joint-15th position, nearing her career-best 14th ranking from last year. Meanwhile, Phoebe Litchfield surged 20 slots to a career-best 41st position after her Player of the Match performance of 64 (43)* in Australia’s T20I against New Zealand.

Other batters making gains include:

  • Chloe Tryon (South Africa) – up 4 places to 47th
  • Maddy Green (Australia) – up 5 places to 49th
  • Sidra Amin (Pakistan) – up 2 places to 61st

In the bowling rankings, Pakistan’s spinner Nashra Sandhu moved up six spots to joint-7th position, and Australia’s Ashleigh Gardner rose to 9th position after a standout performance of 3/16 against New Zealand. New Zealand’s leg-spinner Amelia Kerr also progressed, climbing four spots to joint-17th after taking 4/20 in the same match.

Other bowlers who made progress:

  • Tumi Sekhukhune (South Africa) – up 8 places to 43rd
  • Chloe Tryon (South Africa) – up 6 places to 56th
  • Tuba Hassan (Pakistan) – up 4 places to 50th

In the all-rounder rankings, Chloe Tryon advanced from 15th to 13th.

These movements highlight key players to watch as they head into the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.
