Bracketology watch: Where IU basketball stands for NCAA tournament ahead of the Big Ten tournament – Inside the Hall

With Selection Sunday six days away, we’ll periodically examine where IU basketball stands in bracketology projections. The full 2026 NCAA tournament field will be revealed on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Indiana basketball is 18-13 overall and 9-11 in the Big Ten ahead of the 2026 Big Ten tournament. The Hoosiers will play Northwestern or Penn State on Wednesday night at the United Center in Chicago.

Here’s a look at current bracketology projections and where the Hoosiers stand, along with their current resume:

Lunardi’s latest update came on Sunday evening and he has the Hoosiers as the first team out of the field.

The last four in are Santa Clara, SMU, VCU and Auburn and the first four out are Indiana, Virginia Tech, Stanford and New Mexico.

The most recent CBS Sports projection, published Monday, March 9, has Indiana out of the field.

The last four in are Missouri, VCU, SMU and Stanford and the first four out are California, Auburn, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Delphi Bracketology

Delphi’s most recent update, published on Sunday, March 8/a>, has the Hoosiers as the first team out of the field.
