Brie Bella Thought WWE Would Use Her Every Week After Royal Rumble Return

Brie Bella believed her WWE return earlier this year meant she would be back on television every week — but things haven’t unfolded the way she expected.

The WWE Hall of Famer made her return during the 2026 Women’s Royal Rumble match, entering the bout at number 29. Shortly after that appearance, Brie indicated she was back on a full-time basis. However, fans have barely seen her or Nikki Bella since February.

While speaking with Lala Kent on An Unlikely Affair, Brie Bella explained that she assumed WWE planned to feature her regularly on Raw after the Rumble return. Instead, she was told she would be brought back into storylines when the timing was right.

“I came back at the end of January. I just assumed, oh, you’re gonna have me back every Monday. But they’re like, ‘Okay, we’ll let you know when you’re needed back in the story.’ I’m like, ‘It’s been five weeks.’”

Brie made it clear she’s eager to return to the ring soon and hopes to wrestle again before WrestleMania 42.

“I’m hoping we’re back there soon. I would love to be able to wrestle before WrestleMania.”

She also revealed that both she and Nikki Bella have their eyes on the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships and want the chance to prove they still belong in the division.

“I do because the titles are on the line and they will be at WrestleMania. Nikki & I both want to prove that we can hang with this division and that we deserve to be in that WrestleMania match to go for the titles. They just need to give me the time. I got to get in there.”

The Bella Twins previously teased going after the Women’s Tag Team Titles following Brie’s return earlier this year. Currently, the championships are held by Nia Jax and Lash Legend, who are scheduled to defend the belts on the March 13 episode of SmackDown.

With WrestleMania 42 approaching quickly, the clock may be ticking if the Bella Twins hope to work their way back into the title picture.
