British Esports Launches New PUBG Mobile College Tournament

The British Esports Association has teamed up with PUBG Mobile Esports, the competitive arm of the popular battle royale game. This collaboration will see the launch of an esports tournament specifically for students in the UK aged 16 and older. The initiative aims to provide a platform for young gamers to showcase their skills and compete in PUBG Mobile, reflecting a growing commitment to nurturing talent in the esports community.

British Esports Teams Up with PUBG Mobile for New Tournament:

The PUBG MOBILE FE College Tournament 2024 kicks off on October 8th and concludes during the week starting November 12th. As per the announcement, up to 16 teams will battle it out, with the champions earning a spot to compete live at the 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Championship. This prestigious event will be held at London’s ExCeL Auditorium from December 6th to 8th, offering the top teams a chance to showcase their skills on an international stage.

Teams will battle it out across 12 maps, with the competition running for four weeks. At the end of this period, the leading team on the leaderboard will earn a spot in a special showmatch. This final event will feature not just the top players but also a variety of content creators and influencers, adding extra excitement to the showdown.

This tournament marks yet another collaboration between British Esports and Level Infinite, the developers of PUBG Mobile. Back in February 2024, both entities joined forces to highlight various career paths within the esports sector, emphasizing the growing opportunities in this dynamic industry.

Guild Esports Joins PUBG Mobile Tournaments:

The PUBG Mobile esports ecosystem has experienced promising growth throughout 2024. In September, a notable partnership with Guild Esports, a UK-based organization, was established. This collaboration led to Guild Esports fielding a competitive team to participate in four major tournaments, spanning from the latter half of 2024 into early 2025.

Vice President of British Esports Tom Dore said, “ We’re thrilled to offer a first-of-its-kind mobile esports tournament for further education colleges, and to continue building our relationship with industry leaders Tencent. We look forward to discovering which winning team of students will compete on the biggest stage at the PUBG MOBILE Global Championship in London at the end of the year.”
