Retirement season is going full swing in WWE. Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles have ended their WWE careers in the recent past. Now, rumors about the possible retirement of Brock Lesnar have recently started some speculation among wrestling fans and analysts.
A new report claims that the former WWE Champion may have one important condition before he finally retires from wrestling.
Brock Lesnar Reportedly Wants To Remain Undefeated Until His Retirement Match
According to comments made on the Self Made Sessions podcast, Lesnar and his longtime manager, Paul Heyman, reportedly suggested to WWE’s creative team that “The Beast Incarnate” should stay undefeated until his final match. LA Knight emerged as a potential opponent for Lesnar at WrestleMania 42.
While this could make his last match feel very special, it could also create problems for WWE’s booking plans.
Over the past few years, WWE has built many strong and rising stars. Two of the biggest names are Gunther and Oba Femi. Both have been shown as dominant competitors who can defeat top opponents.
If Lesnar were to face either of them under this rumored condition, WWE would need to make sure Lesnar wins the match, unless it is his retirement match. That could slow down the momentum of these rising stars, something WWE might not want to risk.
Gunther, especially, has built a strong reputation as a “career killer” after retiring Goldberg, Cena, and Styles.
WWE often changes its creative plans, and the company has not officially confirmed anything about Lesnar’s retirement. However, some fans believe that SummerSlam could be a good place for such a moment, especially if the event takes place in Minneapolis, the city from which Lesnar is billed in WWE.
Lesnar made his WWE return at SummerSlam 2025 after being away from the ring for almost two years. Since coming back, he has appeared only occasionally, but he still makes a massive impact whenever he shows up.
One of his biggest wins since returning came against John Cena. During the 2026 Royal Rumble match, Lesnar also had a tense moment with Oba Femi before throwing him out of the match. However, Lesnar himself was eliminated shortly after during a spot involving LA Knight and Cody Rhodes while Jey Uso was making his entrance.
