The Indian team has succumbed to yet another setback by an injury as star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has faced an injury before the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series opener. The first match of the Test series is going to begin on November 22 in Perth.
This injury poses a major threat to the team, especially since the fact that Bumrah is expected to lead Indian team in the absence of regular skipper Rohit Sharma. Rohit mad the decision to skip the first Test and be with his wife Ritika Sajdeh, as he gave birth to their second child on November 15.
According to reports from journalists who were present at the Perth stadium, Bumrah faced an injury when batting in the nets. This happened when he got hit by a delivery from a net bowler. Bumrah looked like he recovered quickly after the initial pain, but was later seen interacting with the net bowlers’
