ICC Announced Ticket Prize of Womens T20 World Cup:
To celebrate the announcement, the ICC unveiled a captivating video showcasing a stunning laser show at the iconic Burj Khalifa. The light display highlighted the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, adding excitement to the tournament’s build-up. This vibrant spectacle at one of the world’s most famous landmarks further emphasized the significance of the event and its anticipated impact on the global cricket stage.
In the press conference, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice said, “ One of the exciting things about the UAE is its diversity. It’s a place where the entire world is represented! This means that this is effectively a home World Cup for all 10 teams and players can enjoy the support of passionate fans. With that in mind, I’m delighted to announce today that tickets will be available from just five dirhams and Under 18s will go free.”
Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) Board Member Zaid Abbas, speaking alongside Allardice at the press conference, shared his excitement about the UAE hosting its inaugural global women’s cricket tournament. He emphasized the importance of this milestone event, highlighting the UAE’s role in promoting women’s cricket on the world stage and expressing pride in being part of this historic occasion.
He said, “ The Emirates Cricket Board is delighted to stage the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE. The Emirates Cricket Board has rich experience and the proven pedigree of hosting top-class cricket, and we are once again ready to deliver another world-class event.”
The ICC Womens T20 World Cup 2024:
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will showcase 20 league matches across Dubai and Sharjah, kicking off with Bangladesh versus Scotland in Sharjah on October 3. The semi-finals are slated for October 17 in Dubai and October 18 in Sharjah, with the grand finale set for Dubai on October 20. Teams will also participate in warm-up matches from September 28 to October 1, allowing them to gear up for the highly anticipated tournament.

In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup starting October 3, ten teams will compete in 23 matches over 18 days, vying for the prestigious trophy. Group A includes Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, while Group B features Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and Scotland.
