CADEX, a leading brand of high-performance cycling components, and part of the Giant and Liv brand family, has introduced the Max 50 WheelSystem and Aero Tyre, expanding its lineup of race-proven road products with a system designed for modern, real-world speed.
The new Max 50 WheelSystem represents the next evolution of CADEX aero performance, combining ultra-lightweight efficiency with exceptional stiffness and system-level aerodynamic gains. Designed as a fully integrated rim, spoke, and hub solution, the Max 50 delivers refined race-day performance that is not only measurable in the lab, but decisive on the road.
Weighing a claimed 1,290 grams, the Max 50 WheelSystem pairs a 50mm hookless aero rim with integrated CADEX Super Aero carbon spokes and a thin aero hub flange to reduce drag and improve power transfer. Dynamic Balanced Lacing widens the spoke bracing angle and stabilises spoke tension under load for greater transmission stiffness compared to the traditionally configured Ultra 50wheel. The result is an aero WheelSystem that accelerates sharply, carries speed efficiently, and responds immediately during attacks, sprints, and hard efforts.
A wide 22.4mm inner rim width further enhances real-world aerodynamic efficiency by optimising tyre shape and airflow integration, while also improving handling stability and confidence across varied road conditions. Together, these elements create a modern aero race wheel that balances aero performance, stiffness, and low weight.
“With the Max 50, we focused on how speed actually feels and performs in real riding conditions,” said Jeff Schneider, Global Head of Product and Marketing for CADEX. “By engineering the rim, spokes, and hub as a single system, we were able to reduce drag, increase efficiency, and improve responsiveness in a way riders can feel immediately, whether they’re sprinting, climbing, or attacking on rolling terrain.”

Designed to complement the Max 50 WheelSystem, the new Aero Tyre further improves aerodynamic efficiency. A taller, wider aero shape with refined shoulder grooves smooths airflow and reduces drag, while the 240 TPI casing lowers rolling resistance and cuts weight for faster acceleration and responsiveness. The tyres also feature proven Race Shield puncture protection, providing durability without compromising speed or ride quality.
Together, the Max 50 WheelSystem and CADEX Aero Tyre form a complete performance system engineered for today’s racing demands, where efficiency, control, and sustained speed matter just as much as outright aerodynamic gains.
The CADEX Max 50 WheelSystem and CADEX Aero Tyre will be available soon in select markets worldwide.
