Cameron Green shares his views on team India ahead of the BGT

Team India will have a serious target to achieve when they will tour Australia for the five-match test series in November. As India won the previous two Tests against Australia, the team is now aiming for a rare hattrick against the hosts. India has been dominating Australia in bilateral series and is undefeated since 2014-15 tour. On the other hand, Australia has given nothing but heartbreaks to Indian fans in ICC events, which include WTC final and ODI World Cup 2023.

The heat regarding the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) in on its peak as India and Australians make predictions. Ricky Ponting was backing Australia to crush India in BGT 2024-25, along with former coach Geoff Lawson making some similar statements. However, Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri opposed these predictions and were backing India to win.

Australian all-rounder Cameron Green gave his views on this rivalry of India vs Australia, along with highlighting the significance of this series in contrast to the WTC final.

“Yeah, I think it’s always an amazing rivalry and I think lots of things come out of the tournament every single time we go versus each other. So yeah, I’m sure this series won’t be any less. So yeah, looking forward to it,” Green stated

“Every single point is pretty crucial for the World Test Championship. Any way you can kind of get an idea of how to get one up on your opponent, I think we’ll try and take,” he explained.

When questioned about the chances of facing Indian team once again, but this time in the finals of WTC, Green answered by saying, “If it is a bit of a preview for a World Test Championship final again, I think yeah, we’ve been trying to get as much information out of India and see how we can win it again.”
