India is all set to take on Bangladesh in a two-match Test series, starting from September 19 in Chennai. This is going to be their first match of a 10 match test series that India will be playing till early phase of January in order to secure their place in the finals of World test Championship 2025.
This is also going to be the first red-ball assignment for Gambhir after he got appointed as the head coach of Indian team.
India is a much better side as compared to Bangladesh as they currently stand no. 1 in the WTC table. Even though Bangladesh is a competitive side, the Indian team is even more strong in all departments and are favoured to win the match.
Bangladesh is coming into this series with high level of confidence as they were the first Asian team to clean wipe Pakistan at home in the history of Test cricket.
The Bangladesh team is not fool, especially with spin bowlers, since they can use the full potential of the pitch that offers spin-friendly conditions.
However, Indian team is the favorite to win this match.
