The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN)’s working committe meeting held on 29 August 2024 have made several important decisions. A total of nine important decisions were made during the meeting.

The decisions includes the monthly salary to province players to providing money to the T20 World Cup 2024 participating players and support staff and head coach to the eight teams to be featured in Nepal Premier League 2024 to some important decision regarding Aadil Aalam.

The nine important decisions made by CAN are as follows:

1. CAN to offer two female and three male players from each province (35 players) a 15,000 NRS monthly salary. CAN will provide the budget and Province will make an agreement with the payer.

2. Each player and head coach of the team that participated in the recently concluded T20 World Cup in West Indies and the USA will receive three lakhs, while one lakh and fifty thousand will be allocated to the support staff.

3. Eight franchises will feature in Nepal Premier League 2024 which is going to take place from 30 November 2024 to 21 December 2024.

4. The U19 Men’s National Cricket tournament will be held in Koshi Province in September/October.

5. The Elite Cup will take place in Madhesh Province, specifically in Janakpur and Birgunj, which will start from the last week of October.

6. The initial phase of the closed camp for the preparation of the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup Asia Qualifier will be held in Lamahi, Dang.

7. A three-member selection committee has been formed from the received applications to the information announced by CAN, coordinated by Lekh Bahadur (LB) Chhetri, with Yunil Shrestha and Murtuza Hawari as members.

8. The annual general meeting of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) will take place on October 11 and 12 in Pokhara.

9. The decision regarding Aadil Aalam, who received a clean chit from the court in the match-fixing scandal, will be made in accordance with the instructions from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
