Champions Remain Intact, #1 Contenders Match Set for NXT Women’s Title

Hello and welcome back to another edition of NXT, live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. Robert Stone officially stepped into his role as interim General Manager following Ava’s retirement; there were two championship matches last night and a few familiar faces returning to the NXT arena, let’s dive in.

NXT Women’s North American Championship — Triple Threat Match

Izzi Dame (c) vs. Thea Hail vs. Lola Vice

Dame immediately asserted herself, tossing Hail onto Vice before crushing both women with a corner splash. Hail and Vice briefly aligned, each landing superkicks that sent Dame to the floor.

Vice tried to trap Hail in an armbar, but Hail slipped free. Dame re-entered dramatically with a double-knees-from-the-top to both opponents for a near fall. She followed with shoulder tackles on each woman and a body slam to Vice, only for Hail to break up the pin.

Hail found rhythm with an armdrag and a dropkick that again sent Dame outside. She hit a hurricanrana on Shawn Spears at ringside, while Vice dove onto Dame and Hail then dove onto Vice. The match spilled into break with all three women flying.

After the break, a clever triple-spot unfolded: Hail hit a top-rope neckbreaker on Dame at the same moment Dame delivered a Samoan Drop to Vice, leaving all three down. Vice came alive with rapid-fire kicks and her signature running hip attacks on both opponents. Hail dodged one attempt and countered with an overhead suplex.

Dame fired back with a dropkick-to-senton combo on Vice for two, then a sitout slam on Hail that Vice barely broke up. Hail responded with a crossbody to both women, then running back splashes and a suplex. She slammed Vice and went springboard, but Vice caught her in a sleeper before Dame broke it up.

Vice spun-kicked Dame; Hail and Vice traded exchanges, with Hail sitting down for a two-count. Vice attempted a head-and-arm submission, but Hail rolled through for another two.

Dame booted Vice to the floor. Hail spiked Dame with a DDT, but the real turning point came outside: Kelani Jordan attacked Lola Vice from behind, kicking her in the lower back and then slamming a ladder onto Vice’s right hand.

Back inside, Hail rolled Dame up for two, then locked in the Kimura Lock. Dame powered free by driving Hail face-first into the ropes, then finished with a sitout powerbomb for the pin.

Winner by pinfall and STILL NXT Women’s North American Champion: Izzi Dame

Fast, frantic, and pretty good match. All three looked credible, but Jordan’s interference decisively cost Vice. Dame retaining was the logical call; Hail worked hard but continues to take too many close losses for comfort.

Backstage, Sol Ruca told Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair she reached the final three of the Royal Rumble. Zaria approached once they left, clearly frustrated that Sol keeps getting opportunities. Sol explained she wasn’t in charge of who entered the Rumble and had been told to keep it quiet. Zaria relented—“I would’ve done the same”—but stressed she had to win tonight.

As their entrance began, Zaria shoved Sol to the mat and refused a fist bump, signaling that tension had already boiled over.

The TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions, The Elegance Brand (Heather & M By Elegance) were introduced by The Personal Concierge, with Ash By Elegance at ringside. Former WWE star Daria Rae (Sonya Deville) watched from ringside.

TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship

The Elegance Brand (c) vs. Zaria & Sol Ruca

Zaria started hot, kicking M down before tagging Sol, who hit a standing moonsault for two. M responded with kicks to Sol’s leg and gut, then Heather tagged in to work her over with strikes.

Sol countered with a spinning slam, a kick, and a corner back splash. Zaria bristled at being tagged, then came in aggressively with an elbow drop, corner splash, suplex, delayed suplex, and a stiff knee to Heather’s jaw.

Ash distracted from the apron, allowing Heather to kick Zaria and M to tag in and send Zaria to the floor. Break.

Afterward, M floored Zaria with a pump kick. Heather tagged in and was slammed onto Zaria for a two-count. Zaria fought free with an elbow—but stubbornly refused to tag Sol.

Zaria slammed M, but Heather inadvertently landed on her during a follow-up sequence. M connected with double knees for two. Zaria and M collided with double clotheslines, allowing Sol to tag in against Heather.

Ruca landed kicks, a missile dropkick, and a knee for two. Heather rolled her up for two, then M tagged in and blasted Sol with a superkick against the ropes. Heather hit a top-rope moonsault; M attempted one of her own, but Sol moved.

Sol hit a springboard clothesline—then Zaria tagged herself in, sparking an argument. They briefly united for a double spear on both champions.

Chaos followed: The Personal Concierge distracted; Zaria lifted M, but Ash yanked Heather out of danger. M slipped free, and Sol accidentally hit Zaria with the Soul Snatcher. Ash sent Sol crashing into the steel steps. Heather then hit a double-foot stomp while Ash held Zaria in place and covered for the win at 11 minutes.

Winners by pinfall and STILL TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champions: The Elegance Brand

This was messy in the right way. Zaria’s refusal to tag, Sol’s accidental finisher, and the champs’ opportunism all fit the story perfectly.

Parker vs. Monroe Boils Over

A video showed Jaida Parker greeting fans outside the arena. Blake Monroe ambushed her with punches, clearly winning the skirmish before security separated them.

Let’s Hear From Jacy Jayne & Fatal Influence

Jayne claimed her Royal Rumble appearance was overdue and going exactly as planned—boasting that she eliminated Kelani Jordan and insisting the crowd was chanting for her. She said everything was perfect until Sol Ruca “cheap-shotted” her over the top rope. Jayne accused the audience of obsessing over Sol while she carries the division, declaring she only needs to “kill the hype.”

Zaria interrupted, warning Jayne not to sic her “lapdogs” on her and insisting Jayne should worry about her, not Sol. Jayne fired back that Zaria doesn’t get opportunities because people merely tolerate her while they love Sol.

Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair then stepped in. Grey reminded Jayne it took all three of Fatal Influence to beat her and said she wants a rematch, no more wondering if she’s ready, only whether she’ll win by pin or submission. Zaria snapped at them to get out of her way; they insulted her in return.

Sol Ruca came out to cool things down, noting everyone wants a shot at Jayne’s title. Zaria complained again about Sol “sneaking off” to the Rumble. Jayne sniped that they should settle it in “couples therapy.”

Interim GM Robert Stone arrived and booked for next week:
Sol Ruca & Zaria vs. Wren Sinclair & Kendal Grey.
Whoever scores the winning pin for their team will challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship in Atlanta in three weeks.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid asked Jordan about attacking Lola Vice. Jordan smiled and said: if Vice’s hand is broken, “how can she knock anyone out now?” Point taken.

Next Week on NXT
  • Kelani Jordan vs. Blake Monroe
  • Sol Ruca & Zaria vs. Wren Sinclair & Kendal Grey (Winners become #1 Contenders to NXT Women’s Title)

Two championships were defended and at least three different challengers now orbit Jacy Jayne’s title. Next week’s tag match will likely decide not just a contender but the direction of multiple storylines at once. Sound off comments below!
