Charlotte Flair has addressed the question of life after wrestling, saying the prospect does not frighten her but that nothing has yet come close to replicating the feeling she gets from performing in the ring in front of fans. Speaking on Complex Graps, Flair was asked a fan question about what, if anything, scares her about life after wrestling.
“Nothing scares me,” Flair said. “It’s just being able to perform in that ring is like a high like no other. It’s just, is there something that will bring me that same amount of satisfaction and energy and feeling and what that looks like? Because right now, my focus is wrestling, and nothing compares to being in that ring and performing for the fans.”
Flair said she reframes the conversation from one of fear to one of gratitude. “It doesn’t scare me,” Flair said. “It’s just, I am fortunate enough in this life to find something that means the most to me. So instead of being scared about it, it’s like, well, I’m actually just really grateful that I was able to do this, or am able to do this for however long I can, because I really love what I do. And sometimes I don’t think people find that passion or that thing that makes them feel alive, you know?”
Flair is currently in her thirteenth year with WWE and heading into what could be her ninth WrestleMania appearance. For more on what WWE is planning for her at Mania, click here.
