Chelsea travel north to face fellow Champions League hopefuls Aston Villa in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Blues have failed to win any of their last three matches in the Premier League, most recently losing 2-1 against league leaders Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.

Liam Rosenior had enjoyed an impressive start to his tenure as head coach at Stamford Bridge, but his side’s recent form will be cause for concern.

Off the pitch, though, it appears that Chelsea are now chasing a forward from the German top flight.

According to German outlet Fussball Dasen, via CaughtOffside, the west London outfit are one of a number of clubs interested in Hoffenheim striker Fisnik Asllani.

It is claimed that the Blues have complied a scouting report on the attacker, who has also attracted interest from Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.

Asllani, 23, joined Hoffenheim as a teenager and has since had two loan spells away form the club.

The Kosovo international returned to Hoffenheim ahead of the current season, and has now scored eight goals in 25 matches across all competitions so far this term.

In total the forward has made 35 appearances for his current side, but the report suggests that several clubs from the Premier League are showing interest in him.

The report claims that the Kosovar could be available for a fee in the region of £26 million due to a clause in his current contract, which is set to run until the end of the 2028/29 campaign.

Villa could be well placed to land the striker this summer, particularly if Unai Emery’s side can continue their impressive campaign and secure Champions League football for next term.

Spurs, meanwhile, may struggle to lure the player to north London as they look set to miss out on qualification for Europe all together.
