Chelsea Green just pulled off something unheard of in modern wrestling: bringing a non-WWE championship onto WWE television—without asking for permission.
In a new interview with Sam Roberts, Green revealed all the details behind her and Ethan Page’s shocking AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship win at Día de los Muertos in Monterrey, Mexico on November 2, 2025. But the bigger story? How she forced that moment into WWE canon.
“I didn’t ask — I just brought it out on TV. And once it’s on TV, you can’t undo that. I know that. I know damn well you can’t undo it.”
According to Green, the road to Mexico wasn’t paved with corporate planning—it was pure hustle. She cold-called some major names in the business just to get her shot.
“So I messaged Undertaker first… and I asked Anthony Luke for Undertaker’s number. He wouldn’t give it to me, so he gave me Michelle McCool’s. I messaged Michelle McCool, and Michelle McCool gave me Undertaker’s number.
Then I messaged Undertaker and JBL, and I was like, ‘Please, I want to go to Mexico. I want to wrestle. I want to do whatever I can.’ He was like, ‘All right, say less.’”
That’s how she and Page landed in AAA and captured the gold—despite her having no clue mixed tag team titles even existed in a way that mattered on WWE’s radar.
“I just couldn’t imagine a better story than going there and winning a championship that I didn’t even really think existed. It wasn’t in the realm of possibility when I entered WWE.”
But it’s what came next that really made her run historic: bringing the AAA belts onto WWE television without anyone signing off.
“I made sure that this title was on WWE TV. I’m sure it pissed people off. I’m sure it did. If I’m going to be somewhere, I want to go all out. If I’m in AAA, I want to make sure the WWE audience watches AAA too.”
Green’s decision might have ruffled feathers backstage, but she’s adamant that the visibility she gave the AAA Mixed Tag Titles matters—and that it’s now part of WWE history whether anyone likes it or not.
“I’ve done everything I could to make sure this title is seen. Everywhere I go, I bring it. All the media appearances — people often just talk about the United States Championship, but this? This is part of WWE history now.”
Chelsea Green’s bold play proves she’s not waiting for WWE to validate her moves—she’s doing it herself, one championship at a time.
