Chelsea’s dismal run of form continued on Saturday as they were beaten 3-0 by Everton on Merseyside.

Beto netted twice and Iliman Ndiaye was also on the scoresheet as the Toffees eased to a comfortable win at The Hill Dickinson Stadium, extending the Blues’ losing run to four matches across all competitions.

Liam Rosenior’s side remain sixth in the Premier League table, but the defeat could be a huge blow to the west London side’s hopes of finishing in the top four and qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

The defeat will have piled yet more pressure on Rosenior, who enjoyed an impressive start to his tenure but has seen his side struggle of late.

With that in mind, though, it appears that those in charge of the club have made a decision in regard to Rosenior’s future.

According to TEAMtalk, the Chelsea hierarchy remain in support of Rosenior despite his side’s tough run of results.

It is claimed that those in charge of the west London club are still fully behind the Englishman, who only took charge of the Blues in January.

Rosenior was appointed as Chelsea’s head coach at the start of the year following the departure of Enzo Maresca, with the Englishman joining from French side Strasbourg, who are also owned by BlueCo.

The ex-Hull City boss has won just ten of his 19 matches in charge of the Blues, with that run including their 8-2 aggregate defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last 16.

Rosenior signed a long-term deal when he took charge of the club in January, and he is therefore tied to the London giants until the end of the 2031/32 campaign.

It is claimed that those leading the club are keen for Rosenior to benefit from a full pre-season to establish himself at the club and impose his system on his players.
