Chelsea travel to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Blues arrive in the North East having won their last two games – most recently beating League One leaders Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday evening.
Enzo Maresca will hope to see his side build on their 2-0 win against Everton in their most recent league game, but the Magpies will provide a tough test for the west London side.
In the meantime, it has emerged that the London side are looking to offload one of their strikers next summer.
As reported by CaughtOffside, Chelsea are preparing to look for a club willing to sign striker Nicolas Jackson at the end of the season.
The Senegal international is currently on loan at German champions Bayern Munich but, while the Bundesliga outfit do have an option-to-buy the forward permanently, the report suggests that they are unlikely to do so.

So far this term the 24-year-old has netted five goals in 18 games across all competitions, although he is behind England captain Harry Kane in the pecking order in Bavaria and has therefore started just five of Bayern’s Bundesliga matches.
Jackson first joined Chelsea from Spanish side Villarreal in 2023 and scored 17 times during his first season in England, before finding the back of the net 13 times across all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign.
The Senegalese striker fell down the pecking order over the summer, though, with the Blues signing both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap to compete in his position.
Jackson was then sent on loan to Bayern, but it appears that his future beyond next summer is unclear.
It is claimed that Premier League sides Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Everton have all shown interest in the striker, while Spanish side Atletico Madrid and Italian champions Napoli are also touted as potential suitors.
