Chelsea welcome relegation-threatened Burnley to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The Blues had won four consecutive games in the league since Liam Rosenior was appointed as head coach last month, but they were held to a 2-2 draw by Leeds United in their last outing in the competition.
Despite that result, the west London side remain fifth in the top flight table and could in the top four after the upcoming round of fixtures, if other results go their way.
Ahead of the visit of the Clarets, a report has revealed that Chelsea are one of three Premier League sides interested in signing one of the division’s top scorers.
As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, via CaughtOffside, Chelsea are one of three huge Premier League sides chasing Brentford star Igor Thiago.
The 24-year-old joined Brentford from Belgian side Club Brugge in the summer of 2024 but was plagued by injuries during his debut season in England, making just eight appearances in total.

The Brazilian forward has been in sensational form for the Bees this term, though, netting 17 times in 26 league games to help Keith Andrews’ side sit seventh in the table.
It is claimed that Manchester United are particularly interested in the striker as they look to bolster their squad in attack, following the signing of Benjamin Sesko last summer.
The Red Devils are said to have already held internal discussions about a possible move for Thiago, who is likely to cost in the region of £70 million, according to the report.
Thiago’s contract with the west London outfit is set to expire at the end of the 2030/31 season, but it appears that Brentford may face a battle to keep hold of the player beyond this summer.
