Chelsea will hope to return to winning ways when they visit Championship side Hull City in the FA Cup on Friday night.
The Blues have been in impressive form since Liam Rosenior took charge last month, but they were held to a 2-2 draw against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
That result leaves the west London outfit fifth in the Premier League table, and Rosenior will expect to see his side get the better of the Tigers when he returns to his former club on Friday evening.
Off the pitch, it has emerged that Chelsea are considering a surprise move for a Premier League defender.
As per CaughtOffside, Chelsea have started exploring a possible move to sign Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi this summer.
The report claims that the Blues remain on the hunt for defensive reinforcements after missing out on Liverpool-bound Jeremy Jacquet in January, with the Frenchman set to join the Reds this summer.

One player that has emerged on Chelsea’s radar is Senesi, 28, who is set to be out of contract at the end of the current campaign.
The Argentine defender joined Bournemouth from Dutch side Feyenoord back in 2022 and has since made 116 appearances for the Cherries across all competitions.
The centre-back was part of an impressive back line for Bournemouth last term, alongside Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi, and Dean Huijsen.
All three of those players have since departed the south coast side, and Senesi’s future at Bournemouth is also uncertain with just months left remaining on his current contract.
The report suggests that Senesi is very unlikely to sign a contract extension with his current side before the end of the season, and he is therefore very likely to depart the club this summer.
Another name on Chelsea’s list of transfer targets, the report claims, is Manchester United centre-back Harry Maguire.
