Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior will hope to see his side return to winning ways when they visit Wolves on Saturday afternoon.

The Englishman has overseen six victories from his first eight matches in charge of the Blues, having succeeded Enzo Maresca last month.

Both of Chelsea’s defeats since Rosenior’s appointment have been against Arsenal, in each of the two legs of their Carabao Cup semi-final.

The Blues will be overwhelming favourites to beat Wolves, who have won just game in the Premier League so far this term.

In the meantime, it appears that Chelsea are reigniting their interest in a prolific goal scorer.

As per TEAMtalk, the west London giants are once again eyeing a move to sign Porto striker Samu Aghehowa, 21.

The Spanish striker has previously been a target for Chelsea, most notably back in 2024 when the London side attempted to sign him from Atletico Madrid.

Aghehowa instead joined Porto, and the young striker has since netted 47 goals in 76 games for the Portuguese side across all competitions, including 20 goals in 31 matches so far this term.

It is claimed that Chelsea are once again monitoring the Spaniard, as they assess potential transfer targets with a view to bolstering Rosenior’s squad during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Two of Chelsea’s Premier League rivals – namely Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United – are also said to be interested in the striker, who is contracted to his current side until the end of the 2028/29 campaign.

The report suggests that those in charge of Chelsea’s recruitment are fully aware of the club’s need to strengthen in attack, with Liam Delap having struggled in front of goal during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.
