Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior will return to one of his former clubs when his side visit Hull City in the FA Cup fourth round no Friday night.

The Englishman took charge of the Blues last month, succeeding Enzo Maresca, and has since over seen a relatively impressive run of form.

The west London outfit have won seven of their ten matches across all competitions since Rosenior’s appointment, although they were held to a 2-2 draw by relegation-threatened Leeds United on Tuesday.

Rosenior previously managed Hull prior to his time with French side Strasbourg, and the ex-Brighton player will now return to the MKM Stadium with the Blues.

In the meantime, it has emerged that Chelsea are in the running to sign an impressive Premier League goalkeeper.

As per TEAMtalk, Chelsea are one of a number of clubs keeping tabs on Brighton and Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.

The report claims that the London side have identified Verbruggen, 23, as a potential transfer target as they look to sign a player to provide competition for the inconsistent Robert Sanchez.

Chelsea have signed several players – including Sanchez – from the Seagulls in recent years, and it appears that they are hoping to repeat the feat this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are also said to admire the Dutchman, although they may struggle to lure him away from The Amex as they are unlikely to be able to offer Champions League football next term.

German champions Bayern Munich are also said to be in the race to land the Netherlands international, who joined Brighton from Belgian side Anderlecht back in 2023.

Since then, the ‘keeper has kept 21 clean sheets in 93 games for the Seagulls across all competitions.

It is claimed that the Blues would be willing to meet Brighton’s £50 million asking price for the Dutch goalkeeper.
