Has former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho already decided which wrestling company he’ll be part of in 2026?
All Elite Wrestling‘s Chris Jericho was a recent guest on The Tim Weisberg Show. While discussing what lies ahead for him in 2026, Jericho revealed he has a lot more acting gigs lined up that are going to keep him busy.
“Yeah, there always is [a busy schedule]. There’s more acting gigs coming up,” Jericho explained. “There’s always things that come across my plate, and it’s always cool to see. Obviously, there’s wrestling stuff, and there’s music stuff and podcast stuff, but when you get these other opportunities, like we said to host a pilot about the ‘cursed’ Bridgewater Triangle up in your area—that was fun as well—you never know what’s going to be coming up for me, but it’s always busy.”
Jericho said that his Kuarantine shows and ‘another gig’ are how he’s finishing up his year, noting he’s also filming something for an unnamed show. He’s busy, but he also loves what he does, and it’s an honor to live out his dreams.
Chris Jericho confirms he’s not done wrestling just yet
Weisberg followed up by asking if there’s any wrestling on Jericho’s calendar in 2026. Jericho didn’t fully commit, but said he’s “pretty sure” that will happen.
“Well, you never know, man,” Chris Jericho said. “That’s the thing. I’m not done yet, so [I’m] still figuring out everything, and I’ll see where I end up. But I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”
Jericho’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire at the end of the year. A recent report suggested WWE is interested in doing a retirement storyline with Jericho if he decides to return to the company next year. Tony Khan has made it clear on numerous occasions that he hopes to keep Jericho in the fold at AEW.
