Christopher Blevins Gets Knocked Out of First Place in the Latest UCI Points Rankings

The UCI points rankings get updated every Tuesday. They show the total number of UCI points earned by the racers over the past year. Today, for the first time in months, America’s Christopher Blevins is not at the top of the list. Blevins, who won the UCI World Cup titles in XCO and XCC racing has dropped to second place in the latest standings.

The rider who has moved up to the top of the point standings for this week is Fabio Püntener of the Scott team. Fabio has been steadily climbing the UCI rankings for some time now. According to xcodata.com, Fabio has yet to win a World Cup race (he got two third–place finishes in 2025), but he’s won enough UCI points over the last year to put him at the top of the standings. If you want to read more about Fabio, here’s the link to his profile on the XCO Data website:

Of course, being at the top of the standings doesn’t earn nearly as much attention as winning an overall World Cup title or the World Championship.

That brings up another interesting point. Alan Hatherly, who won the Elite Men’s XCO World Championship last year now sits in 21st place in the latest UCI men’s points rankings.

Here are the current UCI points rankings for the top ten men as shown on xcodata.com:

Riley Amos is the next American man in the rankings, now ranked 33rd in the UCI point standings:

Meanwhile, Nino Schurter has dropped to 44th place in the latest points rankings.

Being considered the GOAT— the “Greatest Of All Time”—is an amazing accomplishment, but it can’t keep Nino at the top of the UCI points rankings forever. As they say, “Fame is fleeting.”

Here are the top 20 women in the latest UCI points rankings:

America has two women in the top 20. Savilia Blunk is in 7th place now, and Kelsey Urban is ranked 19th, as you  shown above.

There are 1599 men and 1022 women listed in the latest Elite rankings.

The XCO Data website also lists the rankings of the U23 Men and Women, as well as some other information.

Impressively, America’s Vida Lopez De San Roman is ranked second in the world among the U23 women.
