CLARESSA SHIELDS DEFEATS FRANCHON CREWS-DEZURN IN DETROIT – VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
Detroit, Michigan (February 24th, 2026)– Claressa Shields remains the undisputed women’s heavyweight champion after defeating longtime rival Franchón Crews-Dezurn, 38, (10-3-1) by unanimous decision (100-90 x3) on February 22, 2026. Fighting in her hometown of Detroit at Little Caesars Arena, Shields, 30, improved her perfect professional record to 18-0.
Following her recent victory, Shields holds titles across five weight classes and remains the only boxer in the four-belt era—male or female—to be an undisputed champion in three different divisions.
The fight was a high-stakes rematch of their professional debuts in 2016. Tensions peaked with a brawl at the weigh-in on Saturday, but Shields maintained discipline during the 10-round contest.
Following her victory, Shields expressed interest in a future bout against Shadasia Green, the WBO and IBF super-middleweight champion. She has also confirmed plans to eventually drop down from the heavyweight limit for other major “super fights”.
