As per inside reports, CM Punk maybe looking forward to get his WWE deal restructured. Even though he is currently happy with the company, there are a few modulations that he would like to incorporate in his already existing indenture.
The report which was released by Ibou of WrestlePurists stated that CM Punk is planning to draw curtains on his WWE career at the Stamford-based company with a few plans of getting into the managerial role when he is done with wrestling in the squared circle.
Punk came back to the company in the 2023 Survivor Series Wargames Premium Live Event and since then has been involved in a feud with two iconic superstars of the industry, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins. Finally after he was cleared medically to be a part of the upcoming matches, SummerSlam was booked with the clash between McIntyre and Punk while Seth Rollins was being handed over the role of the special referee.
With Rollins coming in as the special referee, it is extremely unpredictable that where the match may go. Punk doesn’t share a very good relationship with both the superstars, costing Drew McIntyre a couple of title match-ups and his Money in the Bank briefcase. In the latter instance he also stripped Seth Rollins of an opportunity to win the title back.
Consequently, his inclusion to the match makes this an absolute blockbuster and a very dicey affair with all three superstars slated to walk a very thin line of ice with cracks all over it.
Here is what the latest contract about CM Punk would involve
Ibou said, “I believe it’s three. I can tell you right now that he is in the process of trying to get his deal restructured from a money and years standpoint. Punk’s legitimate stance right now is, ‘If all goes well I will never leave.’ That’s his legitimate standpoint. He wants to be here. Forever is the actual word he used. Basically, he wants this to work out, he wants to get paid, and then he wants when it’s time to slow it down, to slow it down and just run NXT.”
The entire plan looks great and foolproof only if both WWE and CM Punk can execute the entire manuever without riling each other up like the last time. The fans would love to see more of the Second City Saint.
