Cody Rhodes Claims Roman Reigns Was ‘Nervous’ on Street Fighter Set

Cody Rhodes isn’t just responding to Roman Reigns’ recent comments about their experience on the Street Fighter set—he’s shutting the whole rumor down.

After Roman Reigns claimed Cody may have been “nervous” and possibly responsible for the two being kept apart on the Street Fighter movie set, Cody Rhodes fired back on March 30, 2026—and made it clear he’s not buying that version of events at all.

Speaking to Adam Glyn, Rhodes started by directly addressing the core of the rumor, confirming that while they didn’t interact on set, the idea that it was his call doesn’t hold up: “We never interacted on set. I believe he said it was my idea.”

Instead of leaving it there, he immediately pushed back, pointing to a detail that undercuts Roman’s claim—something both of them would know firsthand: “I think Roman knows better because we share the same security force.”

Rhodes then brought their history into the mix, referencing his WrestleMania win over Roman while explaining why that claim doesn’t make sense to him: “I took half of them when I beat him at WrestleMania. So he should know better.” From there, Cody flipped the narrative completely—suggesting that if anyone was uneasy in that situation, it wasn’t him: “But I think he was just nervous.”

He doubled down on that point by laying out the timeline of filming, explaining that he had already been settled into the production while Roman was the one coming in later. And just to drive it home, Rhodes repeated his stance—making it clear he believes Roman was the one feeling the pressure.

“He was new. I had been there already in Australia. I was leaving. He was just nervous. I can tell you he did a really good job on the movie, though.

The exchange keeps their rivalry alive even outside the ring, with both men now trading shots over what really happened behind the scenes. But this time, Cody didn’t just respond—he directly shut down the idea that he was the one avoiding Roman. For Cody Rhodes, the message is clear—he wasn’t the one ducking anything, and if there were nerves involved, they came from the other side.

Do you think Cody Rhodes completely shut down the rumor, or is there still more to the story between him and Roman Reigns? Drop your thoughts below and let us know.
