Cody Rhodes says not every episode of his WWE podcast made it to air, and alcohol played a big role in why.
Rhodes hosts the “What Do You Want To Talk About?” podcast on the WWE podcast network, where he sits down with WWE Superstars while drinking Wheatley American Vodka, which sponsors the show. But during a recent appearance on The Nikki & Brie Show, Cody admitted that some recordings went completely off the rails.
While talking with Nikki and Brie Bella, Cody revealed that three episodes were scrapped because he drank too much during filming and wasn’t happy with how they turned out.
“The pours are a bit heavy. I will apologize to Alexa Bliss, Big E. I’m not going to name the other one because she’ll go ham with it. Three of these episodes will never make it because of how deep those pours were.”
Cody didn’t shift blame to anyone else, instead making it clear he took responsibility for what happened during those recordings. He joked about how the alcohol affected the way he spoke and how rough it sounded when he watched the footage back.
“It’s never my fault. I’m kidding. It’s never their fault, it’s always my fault. I already have a lisp, so if you’re starting out, and then you watch it, ‘I thought it was okay.’ It’s rough. I wanted those to be better for them.”
While Cody initially avoided naming the third guest whose episode didn’t air, that mystery didn’t last long. Chelsea Green later confirmed that she was the third WWE Superstar whose podcast appearance was scrapped alongside Alexa Bliss and Big E.
The reveal gives fans a rare look behind the scenes of WWE’s podcast world and shows that not every recorded interview ends up being usable — especially when the drinks start flowing a little too freely.
