Colorado Rockies After Dark: Fun with Rockies Photo Day 2026

Colorado Rockies After Dark: Fun with Rockies Photo Day 2026

Every year, all 30 MLB teams have a dedicated “Photo Day” where players and coaches pose for team and media photographers. These shots get used in a variety of ways (you’ve probably seen them on Purple Row in the past), and it’s always fun to see what creative approaches the photographers take.

If you think this kind of work is easy, think again!

The players had to report to Salt River Fields at Talking Stick early Wednesday morning to begin the shoot at 6:45am. As a result, some of the poses turn out to be silly, fun or otherwise noteworthy, and I’ve chosen a few to share with you.

If a player doesn’t appear here, it means his poses were… pretty ordinary.

Enjoy the selection below of some of the photos from Wednesday’s shoot, taken by RJ Sangosti of MediaNews Group, Jeremy Chen from Getty Images, and Rick Scuteri of Imagn Images. You’ll see a good cross-section of the spring roster here, including some guys you know well and others you might not…

Warren Schaeffer is ready to take command!

Find someone who looks at you the way Charlie Condon looks at his bat.

What do you think Zac Veen is thinking about here?

Nicky Lopez brought a buddy (John Brebbia) and a sign, in case anybody didn’t recognize him.

Brennan Bernardino is hungry to get started!

And Jordan Beck is equally hungry to take a step forward in 2026!

Brenton Doyle wants you to root for the Colorado Rockies!

Zac Veen will haunt your dreams…

Beware of the Hunter (Goodman) in the mask!

Nobody puts Senza in the corner!

Kyle Freeland will stare into your soul.

Adael Amador just hopes they all have fun!

For more fun, here’s a behind the scenes video of Photo Day, courtesy of the Colorado Rockies:

This is just a small snippet of the pictures that were taken yesterday, but it gives you a glimpse of the different aesthetics the photographers were trying to encapsulte.

Which ones are you favorite? Let us know in the comments!
