To get an idea about the pressure on Bangladesh during India’s assault in the first innings, look back at what transpired on the third delivery of the 18th over. The Bangladeshi fielders had two easiest chances possible to run out batters but missed both opportunities.
Mustafizur Rahman bowled a perfect yorker, and Hardik Pandya somehow dug it out, getting an inside edge of the bat. He wasn’t even thinking of running after being hit on the toe, but his partner, Riyan Parag, wanted a run and ran for it.
As Hardik looks up, he finds Parag near him but goes into his crease before both start running towards the non-striker’s end. Litton Das, the wicketkeeper immediately picked up the ball and threw it towards the bowler, but his throw was wayward, and by this time Pandya had started going towards the dangerous end, with Riyan going back to the batter’s end.

The bowler couldn’t hold the ball, but the fielder backing up – Najmul Hossain Shanto – still had an opportunity to run Hardik out since he was way far from the crease. But even he couldn’t grab the ball neatly, and Hardik eventually managed to make it to his crease somehow after a comedy of errors, which also gave India a single.
India registered another comprehensive victory to close the series
Talking about the game, India registered yet another comprehensive victory against Bangladesh to complete a clean sweep in the T20I series. After winning the toss, they elected to bat first and batted absolutely brilliantly.
They scored a massive 297/6 – thanks to a marvellous century from Sanju Samson, who scored 111 runs in 47 balls, including 11 boundaries and eight maximums. Suryakumar Yadav (75) also played a big knock, while most other batters played quickfire knocks.
Later in the bowling, India churned out a fine bowling show with the ball. Ravi Bishnoi was the pick of the bowler, taking three wickets while conceding only 30 runs in his four-over spell.
Mayank Yadav also got two wickets, whereas other bowlers also bowled well on a belter of a track. A complete team effort ensured Bangladesh went back home without anything.
