Washington Commanders star cornerback Marshon Lattimore has been arrested on weapons charges in a Cleveland suburb.
Lattimore, 29, was booked by Lakewood police on Wednesday and was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle.
This arrest comes days after the end of the NFL regular season, where Lattimore and the Commanders missed the playoffs.
‘We have been made aware of the arrest and are gathering more information,’ the Washington Commanders said in a statement provided to WKYC.
‘We are in communication with the NFL League Office and have no further comment at this time.’
Lattimore’s lawyers said in a statement to Daily Mail: ‘Mr. Lattimore was stopped for expired plates and fully cooperated with law enforcement. Mr. Lattimore is not in custody and has not been charged at this time.’

The 29-year-old Lattimore has been charged with carrying concealed weapons and improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle
This is not the first time that Lattimore has had legal issues when it comes to firearms.
In 2021, he was arrested in Cleveland for possession of a handgun that was believed to be stolen.
He was charged with receiving stolen property as well as possession of a concealed weapon.
Lattimore denied that the gun was stolen and he pled guilty to a lesser charge of failing to inform officers that he was in possession of a concealed handgun. He was sentenced to one year of probation and ordered to pay a $1,000 fine.
A native of Cleveland, Lattimore played college football at Ohio State before being selected 11th overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 2017 NFL Draft.
He played nearly eight full seasons with the Saints before being traded to Washington in the middle of last season.
In his professional career, Lattimore has been named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and has earned four Pro Bowl selections.
His 2025 season was cut short when he tore his ACL in the third quarter of the team’s Week 9 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
