Hardik Pandya is going to participate in India’s domestic T20 competition Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy after a long gap of 8 years, where he will be under the leadership of his own brother Krunal Pandya. The tournament is set to begin from November 23.
Hardik will play for Baroda team as they aim to improve their result from previous years. Baroda has been placed in Group B with Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Saurashtra, Karnataka and Sikkim. According to some reports, this tournament will mark the return of Pandya in domestic cricket.
Under the captaincy of Krunal, Baroda has had a good start to their domestic season. After 5 rounds of playing, with 4 wins and a loss, Baroda are at the top of rankings in Group A division with 27 points.
The last time Hardik played for Indian cricket team was in South Africa, where the Men In Blue clenched a series win as they won a four-match T20I series 3-1. Hardik made decent returns of 59 runs and 2 wickets during the series.
