Conor Benn continues to be one of the most-talked-about boxers on the planet. His memorable two fights with Chris Eubank Jr completed a comeback for the Brit that seemed unlikely following his failed drug tests in 2022.
Despite seemingly enjoying life at Matchroom under the guidance of Eddie Hearn, Benn recently shocked the boxing world by signing with Zuffa Boxing, where he will face Regis Prograis in his next fight.
Keyshawn Davis recently won his first fight at super lightweight, and when asked on Ring Champs with AK & Barak if he would fight Conor Benn, Davis savagely dismissed the Brit.
Conor Benn ready for first fight away from Matchroom
Benn’s deal with Zuffa Boxing is reportedly a one-fight deal, with the $15 million deal, covered by Turki Alalshikh.
A press release confirming Conor Benn’s (24-1, 14 KOs) next fight against Regis Prograis (30-3, 24 KOs) also showcased how excited Benn was to appear on the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov undercard:
“April 11 can’t come soon enough, returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium again, where I made history against Eubank Jr, means everything to me. My last fight there showed the world exactly who I am and what I’m about.
“Fighting on the biggest stages, in the biggest shows, I fear no one. I’m fully locked in and ready to deliver another statement performance,” said Benn.
Benn dismissed by Keyshawn Davis
When asked if he would fight Benn at 147 pounds: “Would I fight Conor Benn at 47? Yes,” said a humoured Davis.
He was then asked who the harder fight is, Devin Haney or Benn: “Devin, bro, I will stop Conor Benn. Facts. He’s far from my level.”
“Yes, I would love to fight Conor Benn anywhere,” said Davis when asked if he would go to London to fight Benn.
