Both Worcestershire County Vets teams secured promotion within 24 hours of each other by winning their respective divisions of the County Championships.
Worcs second team, inspired by captain Adrian Jones, delivered promotion at the third time of asking after two narrow misses in previous seasons. His squad of players produced a focused and defining win away at Wiltshire to move up to Division 1 for next season. Qian Zhang was unbeaten throughout their campaign.
The first team, led by an unbeaten Steve Horton made an immediate return to Division 1 with seven emphatic victories and boasted a strengthened squad with the inclusion of Lee Horton and Brian Jeanes. Jason Thompson and Shazia Tariq were ever-present.
