Curmel Moton & Manny Pacquiao’s Son Tipped to ‘Push Toward Future Title Contention’

Prospect boxers Curmel Moton and Jimuel Pacquiao have both been tipped to “push toward future title contention” as a key matchmaker secures opponents for their separate fights on an upcoming card.

Widely regarded as one of the best teenagers in all boxing, Moton’s career began in 2023 on the undercard of the Canelo-Charlo at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Despite his age, Moton, from what Boxing Social had seen on the ground, had long commanded the attention of the world famous Mayweather Boxing Club, and those abilities could be seen through his formative fights through 2024, however, he boxed just twice in 2025 and requires activity if the 19-year-old’s eventual success is going to match his extraordinary reputation.

Jimuel, meanwhile, boxed in a pro debut late, last year, with much hype considering his famous father, Manny Pacquiao.

Jimuel left the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula with only a majority draw, but organizers of his next fight are unperturbed at the minor blemish and consider him in the same realm as Moton — as two novice boxers capable of developing enough technical cache to challenge at the highest level.

“These fights represent key moments in the careers of two rising stars,” Brandon Gibbons, Manny Pacquiao Promotions matchmaker, said in a statement sent to Boxing Social.

The nine-fight card, scheduled to take place on Feb. 28 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York, sees Pacquiao Jr. box Luis Santana Figueroa in a super lightweight four-rounder. Moton, meanwhile, takes on Wilfredo Flores — a 19-fight veteran — in a 10-rounder, also at super lightweight.

“Jimuel and Curmel have earned the opportunity to test themselves against skilled opposition,” Gibbons said.

“We expect both men to put on memorable performances as they push toward future title contention.”

The Manny Pacquiao Promotions event is topped by a 10-round featherweight clash between Elijah Pierce and Lorenzo Parra. Bryce Mills takes on Tobias Green in the co-main at the super lightweight limit.

Manny Pacquiao Promotions is a relatively new organization, founded by the legendary former eight-weight world champ Manny Pacquiao. The company announced last year it was expanding into “marquee boxing markets” across the United States, and held its first event in the US in 2025.

The Moton and Jimuel card airs on Amazon Prime.
