After taking the Royal Rumble global with a stadium show in Saudi Arabia, WWE is planning to bring the event back to the U.S. in 2027.
According to Wrestlevotes Radio via Fightful Select, the internal expectation is that the 2027 Royal Rumble will take place in a domestic stadium, marking a return to home turf for one of WWE’s biggest premium live events. The January 31, 2026 show was the first-ever Rumble held outside North America, as part of WWE’s ongoing international expansion.
As of now, the 2027 edition is being planned as a one-night event, despite past discussions about splitting the Royal Rumble into a two-night format. WWE has flirted with that concept in previous years, but it appears the company is sticking with the traditional format for at least one more year.
With WrestleMania going global and international shows becoming more frequent, the Royal Rumble’s return stateside could serve as a nostalgic reset for longtime fans—and a way to pack out a major stadium on U.S. soil.
Should WWE keep the Royal Rumble in the U.S. moving forward—or go bigger globally again? Sound off below.
